Emtron Application Build — GDI / Bosch HPI5 Direct Injection

An Emtron Application Build is a vehicle-specific CAN bus protocol package that extends the capabilities of Emtron KV Series ECUs. The GDI / Bosch HPI5 Application Build enables direct injection (GDI) engine control by adding support for the Bosch HPI5 (High Pressure Injection) Injection Power Stage.

Direct injection engines require a high-pressure fuel injection driver stage that operates separately from the ECU's standard low-pressure injector outputs. This application build configures the Emtron KV Series ECU to communicate with and control the Bosch Motorsport HPI5 unit, enabling full GDI control for engines such as turbocharged 4-cylinder direct injection motors used in high-performance applications.

• Enables GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) engine control on Emtron KV Series ECUs
• Adds CAN bus control of the Bosch Motorsport HPI5 Injection Power Stage
• Required for direct injection engine builds using an Emtron KV ECU
• Can be installed at time of ECU purchase or applied to an existing ECU via remote firmware update
• Compatible with Emtron KV8, KV12, KV16, and KV16M ECUs
